Chicken Chow Mein


Description

A quick and delicious Chicken Chow Mein made with tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and savory noodles for a classic Asian-inspired meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 2 cups cooked chow mein noodles or spaghetti
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken slices with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch; mix well.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add garlic and onion; sautΓ© for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add bell peppers and cabbage, cook for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  6. Stir in cooked noodles, remaining soy sauce, and oyster sauce; toss to combine.
  7. Drizzle sesame oil on top and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of soy sauce or a pinch of red pepper flakes. Substitute vegetables based on preference.
