Description

A traditional Scottish dessert made with layers of whipped cream, toasted oats, whisky, honey, and fresh raspberries for a sweet and boozy treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons whisky
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats, toasted
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Toast the oats in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant.
  2. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in honey and whisky.
  4. Layer the whipped cream mixture, toasted oats, and fresh raspberries in serving glasses or bowls.
  5. Repeat layers as desired.
  6. Top with additional raspberries and a sprinkle of toasted oats.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality whisky for best flavor. Cranachan can be made ahead and chilled before serving.
