Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and cook until softened.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Drain excess grease if needed.
- Stir in garlic, paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add rice and stir to coat with seasoning.
- Pour in tomato sauce and beef broth.
- Bring to a simmer.
- Cover and cook for 18β20 minutes until rice is tender.
- Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and garnish with parsley.
- Serve warm.
Notes
You can add peas or bell peppers for extra color and flavor. This dish works well as a main meal or a hearty side.
