A quick and easy shortcut apple pie that’s sweet, comforting, and perfect for any occasion.

- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 5 cups thinly sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie pan.
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, and lemon juice. Toss to coat evenly.
- Pour the apple mixture into the prepared crust.
- Dot the filling with small pieces of butter.
- Cover with the second pie crust and seal the edges. Cut slits on top to vent.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and apples are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For extra flavor, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
