Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisk until combined.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to form brownie batter.
- In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon zest until smooth.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the brownie layer.
- Top with remaining brownie batter and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares.
