  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisk until combined.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to form brownie batter.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon zest until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the brownie layer.
  8. Top with remaining brownie batter and swirl gently with a knife.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
