Pasta Shells with Ground Beef


Description

Hearty pasta shells stuffed with seasoned ground beef and baked in a savory tomato sauce, perfect for an easy family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  2. Cook pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. SautΓ© onion and garlic until soft.
  5. Add ground beef and cook until browned; season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in ricotta cheese.
  7. Fill each cooked pasta shell with the beef mixture.
  8. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  9. Arrange stuffed shells in the dish and pour remaining sauce on top.
  10. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the shells.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Serve hot.

Notes

You can prepare the filling ahead of time. Add fresh basil for extra flavor.
