- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- Cook pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- SautΓ© onion and garlic until soft.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned; season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Remove from heat and stir in ricotta cheese.
- Fill each cooked pasta shell with the beef mixture.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange stuffed shells in the dish and pour remaining sauce on top.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the shells.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot.
Notes
You can prepare the filling ahead of time. Add fresh basil for extra flavor.
