  • 8 oz noodles (lo mein or spaghetti)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions and drain.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Add garlic and ginger and sautΓ© for 30 seconds.
  5. In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and water.
  6. Pour sauce into the skillet and simmer until thickened.
  7. Add cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated.
  8. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and green onions.
  9. Serve hot.
