- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Set Instant Pot to sautΓ© and melt butter.
- Add sliced onion and cook until softened and lightly caramelized.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in beef broth and scrape up any browned bits.
- Add egg noodles and stir to submerge.
- Seal lid and cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.
- Quick release pressure and stir well.
- Add heavy cream and shredded cheese and mix until creamy.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For extra onion flavor, use French onion soup mix. Let sit a few minutes to thicken before serving.
