- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sautΓ© onion, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
- Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread Dijon mustard over the center of the pastry.
- Place cooked beef mixture on top of the mustard layer.
- Fold pastry over the beef to encase it completely and seal edges.
- Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad. Ensure beef mixture is cooled before wrapping to prevent pastry from becoming soggy.
