Ground Beef Stroganoff Casserole


Description

A comforting ground beef stroganoff casserole made with tender noodles, savory beef, and a creamy mushroom sauce baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and grease a casserole dish.
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add onion and garlic and sautΓ© until fragrant.
  5. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  6. Stir in mushrooms and cook until softened.
  7. Add cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper and mix well.
  8. Combine cooked noodles with beef mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  9. Transfer to prepared casserole dish and sprinkle cheese on top.
  10. Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, use a mix of mushrooms or add a splash of Worcestershire sauce. This casserole reheats well for leftovers.
