Ground Beef Quesadillas


Description

Deliciously cheesy quesadillas stuffed with seasoned ground beef and melty cheese, perfect for a quick meal or snack.


Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 200g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Sour cream and salsa, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  3. Add ground beef, cook until browned.
  4. Stir in diced bell pepper, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Place a tortilla on a clean surface, sprinkle half with shredded cheese and spoon beef mixture on top.
  7. Fold tortilla over to close and press gently.
  8. Heat a clean skillet over medium heat, cook quesadilla 2-3 minutes per side until golden and cheese melts.
  9. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
  10. Cut into wedges and serve with sour cream and salsa.

Notes

Feel free to add jalapeños for extra spice or substitute cheddar with a Mexican cheese blend for more flavor.
