- 1 package (16 oz) potato gnocchi
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook gnocchi according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add cooked gnocchi to the skillet and toss to coat with sauce.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine to the sauce while simmering. Use fresh gnocchi if available for a softer texture.
