  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onions and garlic, sautΓ© until softened.
  3. Stir in beef broth, peas and carrots, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  4. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter to form a dough.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough over the simmering beef mixture.
  6. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, until dumplings are cooked through.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or parsley to the beef mixture.
