Easy Vintage Citrus Dessert


Description

A simple old-fashioned citrus dessert with a bright, refreshing flavor and a soft, comforting texture, just like grandma used to make.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large oranges
  • 1 lemon
  • 3 large eggs
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 40g all-purpose flour
  • 60g unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180Β°C.
  2. Zest and juice the oranges and lemon.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until pale.
  4. Add melted butter and vanilla extract.
  5. Stir in citrus zest and juice.
  6. Gently fold in flour and salt.
  7. Pour mixture into a buttered baking dish.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes until set.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve slightly warm or chilled. This dessert pairs beautifully with whipped cream or powdered sugar on top.
