Easy Sausage Gravy Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits, cut into quarters
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180Β°C.
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the sausage and stir well.
  5. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  6. Place biscuit pieces evenly in the baking dish.
  7. Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuits.
  8. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with salt and pepper.
  9. Pour the eggs evenly over the casserole.
  10. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  11. Bake for 35–40 minutes until set and golden.
  12. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

This casserole can be assembled the night before and baked fresh in the morning for an easy breakfast.
