Easy Homemade Fall Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in nuts if using.
  6. Pour batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on top before baking or serve with whipped cream.
