An easy and flavorful ground beef taco casserole layered with seasoned beef, cheese, and tortillas for a simple and delicious dinner everyone will love.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 small flour tortillas, cut into pieces
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water, simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the tortilla pieces, then half of the seasoned beef, and half of each cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining tortillas, beef, and cheese.
- Pour salsa over the top and sprinkle with diced onions.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot with optional toppings.
Notes
You can add beans or corn for extra texture and flavor. Leftovers store well for 2-3 days.
