- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk or cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon or sausage, chopped
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and set aside.
- In a skillet, sauté onions and bell peppers until soft.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and milk or cream.
- Add sautéed vegetables, cooked bacon or sausage, and shredded cheese to the egg mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the quiche is set and lightly golden.
- Allow to cool slightly, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
This quiche can be made ahead and reheated for a quick breakfast. Feel free to add spinach, mushrooms, or other favorite veggies.
