Description

A quick and easy breakfast cheese Danish made with flaky pastry, sweet cream cheese filling, and a simple glaze, perfect for a morning treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: fruit preserves or fresh fruit for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Unfold puff pastry and cut into 4 squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold edges slightly over the filling and brush with beaten egg.
  6. Add fruit preserves or fresh fruit on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and puffed.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
