Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen waffles, chopped
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180Β°C.
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Spread the chopped waffles evenly in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle the cooked bacon over the waffles.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the waffles and bacon.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes until set and golden.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare this casserole the night before and bake it fresh in the morning. Serve with maple syrup if desired.
