- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 200g cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh berries or fruit preserves
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200Β°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unfold puff pastry onto the baking sheet.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture down the center of the pastry.
- Top with berries or fruit preserves.
- Cut strips along both sides of the filling and braid over the filling.
- Brush braid with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20β25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
