A creamy and comforting crockpot rice pudding made with simple ingredients and slow-cooked to perfection for a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse rice under cold water and drain.
  2. In a crockpot, combine rice, milk, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins (if using).
  5. Continue cooking for 30 minutes until thick and creamy.
  6. Serve warm or chilled, optionally sprinkled with extra cinnamon.

Notes

For extra creaminess, stir in a tablespoon of butter or heavy cream before serving. Adjust sugar to taste.
