Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crock pot and season with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
  2. Add diced onions and bell peppers on top.
  3. Pour chicken broth over the ingredients and cook on low for 4–5 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken and shred it with two forks.
  5. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  6. Return shredded chicken to the crock pot and add heavy cream, butter, and shredded cheese.
  7. Stir until creamy and combined.
  8. Toss in cooked pasta and mix well.
  9. Season with salt to taste and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to your preferred spice level. For extra flavor, garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.
