- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crock pot and season with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
- Add diced onions and bell peppers on top.
- Pour chicken broth over the ingredients and cook on low for 4–5 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove chicken and shred it with two forks.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- Return shredded chicken to the crock pot and add heavy cream, butter, and shredded cheese.
- Stir until creamy and combined.
- Toss in cooked pasta and mix well.
- Season with salt to taste and serve warm.
Notes
Adjust Cajun seasoning to your preferred spice level. For extra flavor, garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.
