Crispy Baked Ground Beef Burritos


Description

Deliciously crispy baked burritos filled with seasoned ground beef, cheese, and beans, perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • Cooking spray
  • Optional: salsa, sour cream, chopped cilantro for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add diced onions, bell peppers, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until vegetables are softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in black beans and remove from heat.
  5. Place a portion of the beef mixture in each tortilla, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and roll up tightly.
  6. Place burritos seam-side down on a greased baking sheet. Spray tops lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until tortillas are golden and crispy.
  8. Serve warm with optional salsa, sour cream, and cilantro.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end of baking, watching carefully to avoid burning.
