Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup egg noodles
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, sautΓ© until translucent.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes and beef broth.
  5. Add dried basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Add egg noodles and cook until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  7. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream.
  8. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a richer flavor, simmer the soup longer before adding cream. You can substitute pasta with rice if preferred.
