- 2 ripe plums, sliced

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and oil.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk to the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Arrange the plum slices on top.
- Bake for 45β50 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Use ripe but firm plums for the best texture. This plumcake is ideal for breakfast or coffee time.
