Chicken Kiev Recipe


Description

Classic Chicken Kiev made with tender chicken breasts stuffed with garlic herb butter and baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic, parsley, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth.
  3. Flatten chicken breasts using a meat mallet to even thickness.
  4. Place a spoonful of garlic herb butter in the center of each chicken breast and fold edges over, securing with toothpicks if needed.
  5. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  6. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat vegetable oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat and sear chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  8. Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  9. Remove toothpicks and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables. Chill butter slightly before stuffing for easier handling.
