Description
This chicken chop suey is quick, savory, and packed with tender chicken and crisp vegetables in a flavorful sauce.

- 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1/2 cup carrots, julienned
- 1/2 cup celery, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
- Add garlic and onion and sautΓ© until fragrant.
- Add the chicken and cook until lightly browned.
- Stir in carrots and celery and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add cabbage and bean sprouts and toss gently.
- Pour in chicken broth, soy sauce, and oyster sauce.
- Simmer for 3β4 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch with a little water and add to the skillet.
- Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and black pepper and serve hot.
Notes
Serve with steamed rice or noodles. Do not overcook the vegetables to keep them crisp.
