Cabbage Ground Beef Casserole


Description

A hearty and comforting casserole with ground beef, tender cabbage, and a flavorful cheese topping, perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  5. Add chopped cabbage and beef broth, cook for 5-7 minutes until cabbage is tender.
  6. Stir in sour cream and half of the shredded cheese.
  7. Transfer mixture to a baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve hot.

Notes

You can add paprika or Italian seasoning for extra flavor. Leftovers store well for 2-3 days.
