Ingredients

- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons dark rum
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1 box vanilla wafers
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and sliced bananas, cooking for 3-4 minutes until caramelized.
- Remove from heat and stir in rum and vanilla extract. Set aside to cool slightly.
- In a bowl, whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thickened.
- Fold in whipped topping gently.
- In a serving dish, layer vanilla wafers, pudding mixture, and caramelized bananas. Repeat layers as desired.
- Top with remaining pudding and bananas.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle with toasted pecans or drizzle with additional caramel sauce.
