- 500g ground beef
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 200g mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
- Season ground beef with salt and pepper, then mix with the mushroom mixture.
- Roll out puff pastry and spread Dijon mustard in the center.
- Place beef mixture onto the pastry and fold over to seal completely.
- Brush the pastry with beaten egg.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Make sure the puff pastry is chilled before baking to achieve a perfectly flaky crust.
