Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks

Description

These Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks are a quick, budget-friendly twist on the classic—loaded with seasoned beef, melty cheese, and sautéed peppers and onions on a warm toasted hoagie roll.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 68 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Butter for toasting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and peppers; cook until softened.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  5. Season with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Top the beef mixture with provolone slices and let melt.
  7. Toast hoagie rolls with butter if desired.
  8. Spoon beef mixture into hoagie rolls and serve warm.

Notes

Add mushrooms for a traditional Philly flavor, or swap provolone for mozzarella or cheese sauce.
