These Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks are a quick, budget-friendly twist on the classic—loaded with seasoned beef, melty cheese, and sautéed peppers and onions on a warm toasted hoagie roll.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 6–8 slices provolone cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Butter for toasting (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions and peppers; cook until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
- Season with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Top the beef mixture with provolone slices and let melt.
- Toast hoagie rolls with butter if desired.
- Spoon beef mixture into hoagie rolls and serve warm.
Notes
Add mushrooms for a traditional Philly flavor, or swap provolone for mozzarella or cheese sauce.
