These crispy chicken wonton tacos are the perfect fusion appetizer—crunchy wonton shells filled with juicy teriyaki chicken, fresh slaw, and a sweet-savory glaze that makes every bite irresistible.

- 12 wonton wrappers
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 cup shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: sesame seeds, lime wedges, cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place wonton wrappers over the edges of a baking dish to form taco shapes.
- Bake for 5–7 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and add diced chicken.
- Cook until chicken is lightly browned.
- Add garlic, ginger, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil.
- Simmer until sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
- In a bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, and green onions.
- Fill crispy wonton shells with slaw and warm teriyaki chicken.
- Top with sesame seeds, lime, or cilantro if desired.
Notes
For extra crunch, lightly brush wonton wrappers with oil before baking. These make amazing party appetizers or fun weeknight dinners!
