- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 1 cup Bisquick mix
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Cook sausage in a skillet until browned; drain excess grease.
- Spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Spread cooked sausage evenly on the bottom of the baking dish.
- Add diced onions and bell peppers if using.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the sausage layer.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, Bisquick, salt, and pepper.
- Pour egg mixture evenly over the sausage and cheese.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Next morning, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until set and golden.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
