- 1 lb ground beef
- 4β5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook diced onion until softened.
- Add ground beef and garlic; cook until browned and season with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk.
- Layer half the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Spread half the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Pour half the soup mixture on top.
- Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, beef, and soup mixture.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, top with shredded cheese, and bake an additional 10β15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can swap cheddar for mozzarella or pepper jack. Add veggies like corn or green beans for extra heartiness.
