Ingredients

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • Fresh cherries for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract; mix until creamy.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
  4. Layer half of the cubed angel food cake in a serving dish.
  5. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the cake.
  6. Top with half of the cherry pie filling.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  8. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
  9. Top with fresh cherries if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of almond extract to the cream layer. Best served chilled!
